Sandaig Cottage is detached accommodation in the village of Lower Barvas, which is on the west coast of Lewis in the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides, west coast of Scotland. The property is fully furnished.  It has open views to the Atlantic Ocean and the beach is approximately a mile away. The property has a small area for off road parking
 There is a primary school near by and a bus service to Stornoway and other destinations. There is a petrol station/shop one mile away which is open late most nights. Stornoway, the only  town on Lewis, is less than 20 minutes drive away. Stornoway is an excellent shopping centre and has many bars and restaurants. It has leisure attractions including sports centre, swimming pool, An Lanntair arts centre for concerts, plays, and cinema. During mid July there is the Celtic Hebridean Festival featuring international music and bands usually held in Lews Castle Park.
Stornoway boasts an eighteen hole golf course in parkland grounds of Lews Castle and visitors are welcome.
Sandaig cottage has the advantages of being out in the country with the many attractions on the west side but still accessible to the town.
